Making nail photographs in Kiev

I'm back in Kiev to visit my parents! While we are here Bob suggested that we visit our photographer friend Victor Medinsky and that we try to make some nail professional photographs. Victor is an award-winning portrait photographer who also took our wedding photographs, so it will be wonderful to see him again.

Another friend, Alisa Kalaganova offered to help us. Alisa is training as a make-up artist and has volunteered to be our first model.

I decided to create a bright design using colored gels. In Ukraine and Russia most of the designs are based on flowers but I wanted to create something that's different, more abstract and modern.

My first magazine article and the one that started my interest to create nail design photographs. The article describes how I moved to Sweden from Ukraine to be married and also my experience as a competition judge for the national championships in Ukraine.

I was a judge from the start of the competition until 2006 when I moved to Sweden.
